University and knowledge policies for inclusive development

Abstract
The issue of the article is the potential cooperation of universities with knowledge policies aimed at inclusive development. In section 1 a conception of inclusive development is summarized. Section 2 considers the emergence of the "entrepreneurial university" as the dominant model internationally. In section 3, some features of the model seen from the "South" are analyzed. In Section 4the model of the developmental university is presented as an alternative. In section 5 the possibilities of such alternative are discussed
